Ree Morton
Ree Morton began taking art classes in the mid-1950s in Virginia and, driven by her passion for art, moved to New York to pursue a career in art. Morton’s work was exhibited in notable institutions such as the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, the Whitney Museum of American Art, NY, and Artists Space, NY. Her work is often described as displaying “confrontational innocence” when examined closely.
