Jenny Holzer
Jenny Holzer, an American conceptual artist born in 1950, emerged as a part of the feminist art movement in the 1980s. Her artistic journey began with abstract art, beginning her studies at Ohio University and later enrolling in the Independent Study Program at the Whitney Museum of Art after moving to New York in 1977. Her art is centered on the delivery of words in public spaces and the impact those words can have on people.
