Nina Kuo creates paintings, photos, mural landscapes, and sculptures with multi-symbolic themes and calligraphic shapes while presenting scholarly images in a surreal manner for emotional appeal. These images provide metaphors for our global bourgeois society and its cultural ambiguity. This haven of image-making seduces and bridges many idioms. She has executed many Asian American figures to reveal a mythical destiny full of contradictions and surprises.
Kuo has exhibited work at New Museum, Newark Museum, Digital Art Fairs, Scope, LA County Museum, Clocktower Gallery, etc.
Collections: MoMA, Brooklyn Museum, Lib. of Congress, Biblioteque Nationale. Etc.
